On a typical visit the children through a variety of experiences will learn about:

  • a range of crops, their different stages of growth and the planing and harvesting cycles
  • how plants are transformed into familiar foodstuffs

Watoto School Choir visit to Finedon Mulso Junior

    Finedon

Recently a choir of 18 children from a Christian school in Uganda - the Watoto School Choir visited Finedon Mulso Junior. They were fabulous in their singing and performance!

Avril Wise, headteacher writes, "Our children sat entranced to start with but, when they were invited to join in, they did so enthusiastically, following the choir's lively example. In between the amazing singing and dancing, some of the children told their personal, harrowing stories but bore witness to their faith that Jesus had saved them. All of the children in the choir (and at the school) are orphans, many of them having lost their parents to AIDS. It was very moving, especially when they sang 'I am not forgotten, God knows my name'."

In preparation for this visit at the end of last term, the school had a mufti day to raise money for Watoto School and so were able to give a donation to the choir on the day and the staff were able to buy CDs and jewellery to help boost Watoto school's funds.
