The new Diocesan Service Level Agreement has now been e-mailed to all schools and academies and is available for discussions by schools and governing bodies.
Entitled the Schools Support Structure (SSS), this new SLA for schools is designed to offer 3 levels of service: On-going support, Intermediate support and a full support package. This new arrangement has been formulated by the Board in response to the recent SLA review undertaken by a working party of headteachers from around the diocese.
Please refer to the full documentation for further details or ring the diocesan office.
Congratulations to the pupils, staff and governors at St Loys Primary at Weedon Lois on their Naace Third Millennium Learning Award. They are one of the first 16 schools in the country to win this award.
The aim of the 3rd Millennium award is to enable schools to demonstrate how they are providing an education fit for the 21st century, and celebrates schools' achievements in creating an environment and curriculum that stimulate more and better learning, making full use of the opportunities presented by technology. This is a peer-referenced award with no set criteria as schools enable their pupils to experience 3rd Millennium learning in very diverse ways. Submissions are judged by a "college" of schools who have already gained the award and the Award steering group.
Congratulations to Mr Hazelgrove and all those who have put together such a fantastic presentation to gain this award.
